Intro: I am a biologist and an artist. I work with the fishery in Alaska a few months a year and have spent much of my spare time in the past 10 years traveling. I have spent over 2 years in the Amazon rain forest and am now involved in an ongoing project involving the use of birds as bioindicators of forest disturbance in Borneo. I recently got my first digital camera. In September of 2006 I completed a 17 day trek in the highlands of Papua. I want to start a website for nature seeking travelers concerned about preserving biological and cultural diversity.
