Intro: I was born and raised in the small town of Salt Lick, Kentucky, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. I have lived in Southern California since 1984.

I became interested in "taking pictures" at a very young age. Back in the sixties my parents would sometimes allow me to use their Kodak Instamatic which used 126 cartridge film. In the early seventies, I received the first camera that I could call my own, a Polaroid Square Shooter 2. A bit of research reveals that the Square Shooter 2 was produced from 1972-1975 and retailed for $24.95. My, haven't we come a long way!

During my high school years I got my first 35mm camera, a Minolta X-700. I eventually moved on to a Minolta Maxxum 7000i, my first auto focus camera. I purchased my first digital camera, a Nikon 990, in June of 2000. The advent of digital photograpy has really rekindled my interest in photography. I moved up to my current camera, a Nikon D70, in September 2004.

I really enjoy seeing the world through the eyes of others here on TrekEarth and I sincerely hope that you enjoy some of my photographs.
