With Adobe pSE9 it's possible to give more lights on the dark parts without touching the highlights.

I used Photoshop, but you can
use other program. Just apply little
sharpening. I think it help bring out
the details.

Hello Vangelis,
I went through your gallery and liked very much your picture of trees with special winter mood. I have played a little and tried to adjust it by applying different 1:1 crop (to give more impact on the V-shape big tree). What do you think ?
