Intro: I love travels and photography. I enjoy sharing my memories with friends. I like these rare moments of astonishment when I spot exceptional picture done by someone else.

I started with B&W analog photography some 35 years ago. I enjoyed working I a dark room making my photos as I wanted them to look like. Color analog photography killed that freedom, because what one sees is what one gets from a lab, but this forced me instead to do more thinking during taking pictures. I also learned there is nothing wrong with throwing out 70% of your pictures and you can enjoy more with those remained after selection.

Now with digital photography I enjoy again the freedom of controlling all aspects of my pictures. Additionally I nearly gave up looking at printed photos in my photo albums, preferring 19" flat screen. I said nearly because still a large part of my collection is on analog media waiting to be digitized some day. I like to watch photos on a large screen (2x2m) from slides. Recently I switch to yet another way of watching photos - on a 40" LCD TV.

On TE I found a community of people willing to share their knowledge, experience and memories. Let's share, we can't be everywhere
