Photographer's Note

Back a little in 2002 with a picture from Lago di Garda in Italy.
Here is Salo, an ancient village of roman origin, native land of Gasparo, the violin inventor. It is on the shore of a wonderful gulf and it still preserve its renaissance urban scheme.

A very pleasant lakeside view of Salo. Beautiful buildings, with the boats on the shoreline in front. The buoys on the water in front help to create depth in this view, and the "panoramic" cropping works quite well in this shot. Well done, Fred.

Une bien jolie vue qui laisse rкveur (envie d'йvasion et surtout de dйcouverte).
Une trиs belle carte postale (dans le bon sens du terme, car j'ai rarement vu une carte postale de mauvaise qualitй reprйsentant une ville ou un paysage).

In Italy Salт is also famous because for a short time was the capital of the homonymous fascist Republic after that nazist troups set free Mussolini, prisoner in Gran Sasso (Abruzzi). A bad period for Italy divided in two parts. Now Salт is again famous for its beauty and this nice photo confirms it.

Un petit retour dans le temps qui ne m'empкche pas d'apprйcier ce cadre enchanteur.
On devine bien l'architecture Italienne avec ces belles couleurs.

J'aime bien cette composition dans l'angles de vue choisi qui dont des formes intйrressantes а ce village qui porte un nom peu flatteur en francais !

Les bouйs sur le premier plan enleve la monotonie de deux grand plan bleu (ciel mer) tu as bien fait de les mettre.

Magnificent view, Fred! I like the way sky and water come in one. The architecture of the houses is beautiful, as well as are the colours. Very good job!

Un beau panorama sur cette ville aux couleurs vraiment du sud , un beau cadrage dommage que le ciel ne soit pas plus bleu , bien vu c'est une belle image bien nette .

Hi Fred,
You are on the frontpage with this photo! Lovely Italian view on city by a lake. The colours are very nice, but may a bit too bluish. I like the way you composed it, there is still some space to the right of the city by the water. I like the white thing in the water.
