in an Adivasi village in sourthern Orissa... the older generations tatooed their faces, but the young have opted not to follow this old tradtion.

This is a beautiful capture of this lady with a gaze that has powerful impact. The colours all blend very well and the red garment combines well with the skin tones. Nice off center composition and good exposure.

This lady has a very thoughtful expression on her beautiful face. One has to wonder what she is thinking. The woodwork and the wall in the background along with the colour of her scarf gives the photo great appeal. Thank you so much for sharing.

Absolutely superb portrait, Caleb, stunning really! Her eyes and her hand that somehow reflect the light, and the expert framing of her face in this brilliantly conceived space, together make this a memorable photo for me. A favorite.

Nice portrait. Good off centered positioning. The BG colours sync nicely with her saree. But its the face which attracts me the most. She seems to have an expressionless face and a blank look. Although she is staring directly back at you her gaze seems to be many a mile away.
Nicely captured.

Such a Vivid & a fantastic light, yet sharp not loosing out on detail..
I like the off-centred & piercing looks...Even the seemingly harsh light on the right of the face seem to go harmonious with the shot.
