Spain-Croatia, a photo from Geneva, West

Photographer's Note

Last Wednesday, Spain played Croatia in a friendly match in preparation for the World Cup. Most of the action happened down our end: own goal, disallowed goal, goal from free kick, missed penalty etc. Spain ended up winning 2-1 in the last minute.

Hi Nikki,
A good stadium photo, well composed, with intense colors and contrast, well balanced and good POV, the players in line seems very thin , specially the spaniards standing exactly in line...

Colour seems a bit saturated . Perspective is interesting with a shamey spanish roster that makes me vomiting (but i know it is not TE subject).The balance is quite good , depth of field and the colourful and cheerful atmosphere that impregnates that event (Croatia has good taste at choosing team shirt designs )

I see you've put the 18-200 to good use on this one and the WS, Nikki - very nice framing for this one, including the diagonal lineup of the teams and then the view all the way up with the Croatian supporters and the display board. Good rendition of the "floodlight" atmosphere in the stadium. The WS is nice too, it almost looks like it could be the official photo of the disallowed goal used by the news agencies. Two more days until Switzerland play their first match in Stuttgart :)

Je vois que tu as pu entrer dans le stade avec ton appareil photo... Gal va кtre jaloux! ;o)
Bon cadrage avec le format vertical qui permet d'inclure la pelouse, les gradins et le panneau d'affichage. J'aime bien le WS aussi, une belle photo d'action oщ tu a su dйclencher au bon moment!

Jolie prise de vue. Je me demande а quelle distance tu йtais des joueurs. La seule chose que je regrette, c'est que les gradins n'aient pas йtй pleins. Avec un peu plus de spectateurs, la photo aurait pris une autre dimension, а mon avis. Evidemment, ce genre de chose est complйtement indйpendante de la volontй mais je trouve зa un peu dommage. Les couleurs sont trиs contrastйes et on distingue bien les joueurs de chaque йquipe. Trиs belle profondeur de champs.

Nikki bonjour - est ce que tu es prкte pour le match de Mardi ? - c'est vrai qu'en Cфte d'Ivoire, depuis la dйfaite contre l'Argentine, l'ambiance ressemble а un deuil national - Bien capturй et bien composй (les photos d'un йvиnement sportif, lorsque tu es dans les tribunes, sont toujours difficiles а prendre -

Hi Nikki - this is a nice topical shot with good strong colour. I like the vertical format which allows you to include a number of aspects of the event. Your workshop is a great action shot too. Of course you'd know that Melbourne and Oz are ecstatic after the Socceroos' last minute success v. Japan. One of my sons is in Germany at the moment and says the atmosphere is amazing.

jamais evident ces images, ici, c'est simple, ca va, le cadrge vertical convient bien, notamment pour voir le public.

VEry nice composed shot.Everything is well balanced.
And bout the same group thing. Yeah it might be better that Czech and Aussies aren't in the same group, but there is still good chance they will meet togehter! So I am looking forward to it.
I am watching every game.Australia didn't play well with Japan, but they just killed them in last 6 minutes. so this proves they have got physicly and mentaly strong team.
But Czechs are much better, skilled and most important thing they are most experienced and older... :))))
So, will see.

Hi Nikki, this is good to see. NZ Played Brazil in a friendly practice game the week before the World Champs started and we lost 4.0. But we were all very pleased. We are following the matches here quite intensely.

On sent l'ambiance ici..
Pour cette image bien que je ne soit pas un specialiste de sport pour tout dire je ne suis pas specialiste en photo non plus mdrrr je doit dire que le cadrage verticale avec le panneau sur le haut nous montre l'essentiel d'un debut de rencontre .
La tribune donne tout le mouvement et toute la vie de la photo.
Joliment fait bravo Nikki

Veo que la fiebre del mundial se extiende por muchos rincones del mundo (yo acabarй colgando tambiйn alguna foto a relaciуn con el tema).

En fin, me parece una foto correcta y apropiada para TE. Asн, la nota tambiйn.
Pero como la anterior, me ahorro los puntos porque reconozco que mi visita de la foto ъnicamente tiene como motivo que sea un partido de Espaсa (y si he de ser sincero, veo la foto con falta de subjetividad y con el ъnico pensamiento del partido de Espaсa en mi cabeza).
