Photographer's Note
With her braids trailing behind her, she set off into the desert.
I don't know how long it takes for a saguaro cactus to skeletonize in Arizona's dry central climate, especially as fallen specimens don't appear to attract animals or insects to feed on them.
This was taken at the start of my pathless hike into the western portion of the Eagletail Mountain Wilderness. The wilderness is located south and west of the town of Tonopah.
