AEROPORTO DE CONGONHAS!
CONGONHAS AIRPORT!

I was there, waiting for my flight from SГO PAULO/SP (The capital city of the State of Sгo Paulo) to GOIВNIA/GO (The capital city of the State of Goiбs), at the domestic airport in the city of Sгo Paulo: CONGONHAS.
It was the first airport I'd ever visited in my whole life, back in 1969, when I was four y.o., and my uncle Joгo took us there! I remember I loved everything, but was afraid of the noise of the airplanes!
To use it as a departing place, now that was the second time, because the first one was in january this year, when I flew to Porto Alegre/RS (yes, it took me a long, long time to do that since 1969).
Although I have good memories of it and the fact that's been renovated several times, still, it has an old fashion appearance and it's much smaller than the International Airport in Guarulhos (GRU).
It's the busiest domestic aiport in Brazil and it's located in the middle of the city!

Grainy picture at high ISO, but I like the result. I especially like the bands of ceiling and floor at top and bottom, and the guys in blue who form a great focal point to lead us into the architectural scene.

This checkered pavement makes this interior interesting for photographers.
I was in GRU airport in Sao Paulo. But I have few time for my next flight to Rio de Janeiro, No time for photos.
You started early travelling by planes.

Hello Ney,
It does not look overly busy this airport, but that allows us to get the full effect of the strong graphism offered by the chequerboard flooring. The people nicely spread across the frame in various 'poses' add further interest to the composition. Very well exposed with pleasing warm tones and good sharpness.

haha...even from the gallery page I had guessed that this was taken from an airport :)

and i was right, it just had that feel and look to it.

and yes, the flooring has a 1970's look to it right?
I've enjoyed reading your note, its nice to hear about some personal experiences here.

lots of architectural aspects going on here, shapes and odd patterns keep it interesting.

Bonjour Neyvan,

Ce n'est pas toujours facile ce genre de compositions. Le point de vue trиs bas donne de la profondeur accentuй par les motifs du plancher. J'aime beaucoup le plafond.

Me encantan las escenas de aeropuertos, siempre diferentes, siempre en movimiento
Esta esta bien lograda, a pesar de la luz, ya que el enfasis esta puesto en las balsosas del piso, crean perspectiva, profundidad y gran grafismo

What a striking indoor shot and the impact rendered with your impressive low pov as my eye is immediately dragged all over the wide hall. I feel that the catchy floor patterns provides such a good lead into the whole depth. este tambйm foi o meu primeiro aeroporto, viajei daqui para lisboa em 1968 (6 anos de idade) e me lembro de ter ficado impressionado com o tamanho dos pneus do aviгo e dos blocos de piso na pista.
nгo havia visto esta cobertura nova, imagino que foi instalada recentemente. a ъltima vez que passei por aqui foi hб uns 3 ou 4 anos.
gostei bastante do вngulo da foto. bem feito.

nossa acabei de voltar de Sampa e nгo vi esse local no Congonhas. Ficou bem legal com esse tom quente e o zig-zag no piso. Essas colunas diferentes tambйm tem destaque na foto. Curti!
