Photographer's Note
This is a larger view of my previous Music stairs image. The title has nothing to do with the nowadays music, but with the modern architecture of the Music House.
_________
Casa da Música (English: House of Music) is a major concert hall space in Porto, which houses the cultural institution of the same name with its three orchestras Orquestra Nacional do Porto, Orquestra Barroca and Remix Ensemble. It was designed by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas with Office for Metropolitan Architecture and Arup-AFA, and was built as part of Porto's project for European Culture Capital in 2001 but was only finished in the first half of 2005 and immediately became an icon in the city. The Building engineers were Arup (London) together with Afassociados (Porto). Inside Outside (Petra Blaisse) designed the large 13 curtains, ranging from 22mx15m to 65mx8m, and the gold leaf wood grain pattern on the large auditorium.
Although the opening day concert took place on 14 April with Clã and Lou Reed, the building was inaugurated on 15 April 2005 by the Portuguese president. The Prime-minister and many other notable politicians and Porto society were present for the concert by the Orquestra Nacional do Porto.

Hello Daniel
recognise this from a previous post and this more expansive shot works equally as effectively. Love the graphical lines here and a shot that gives us a real sense of the size of this modern and impressive looking building.
Nice one!
Brian.

Hello Daniel,
There are good, strong graphic lines in this composition. The light colours of the building contrast well with the blue sky. Very well seen and framed.
Kind Regards, Ann

Ciao Daniel
ottima scelta del pov, c'è un bel gioco di linee, con il palazzo di fronte che ne aumenta l'effetto.

Hi Daniel,
I assume you must have quite enjoyed yourself with this one, I can perceive many possible compositions. I like what you've done here, the graphic impact is big...literally! :) The patterns, the bold shapes and the overall arrangement come together to form a grand display of modern architecture, even in a relatively minimal manner. Clear, sharp and well defined...you've put together a beauty! Enjoy the new day. Take care.
Friendly wishes,
Jason

Hello Daniel,
Excellent capture of the modern architecture of the Music House. Great composition with a nice, tight crop. I like the diagonal lines of the upper part, the mainly horizontal lines of the stairs and the mainly vertical lines of the building in the background. Well seen and captured.

Hello Daniel
Very well framed and thigh cropped view on this impressionistic and futuristic music hall in Porto. The great light and the uncluttered view have enhanced the cleanliness of the frame.
have a great week ahead

Hi Daniel
A splendid shot emphasizes the strong shapes, lines and shadows of the structures. It renders just the graphical effect leaving so much to admire which is aptly treated with good backdrop for scale and reference taken from very effective viewpoint lending to an attractive capture. Good vision, Well done,
Best regards
