Photographer's Note

Sozopol is an ancient seaside town located 35 km south of Burgas on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Today it is one of the seaside resorts, known for the Apollonia art and film festival that is named after one of the town's ancient names.
It is one of the oldest towns on Black Sea coast. The first settlement on the site dates back to the Bronze Age. The current town was founded in the 7th century BC by Greek colonists from Miletus. The city is divided into the Old Town and the modern section. The Old Town is renowned for its romantic atmosphere, thanks to its narrow streets and old houses.
In the photo you can see one of the old streets and traditional wooden houses in the Sozopols Old Town.
