Phone & Beer

At Irkutsk I was at a hotel facing the Angara River, along it run a Promenade with trees , providing friendly shadow for the now warm sun’ s light, benches, where local people enjoy the sunny afternoon, kiosks selling all kind of non-alcohol beverages, really a nice place to stroll

I was going to the Lenin monument (unusual to see him at a statue), our meeting point, when I noticed this girl that seem to be waiting for friends and calling them, beer open and ready to be drink

I like very much this spontaneous capture and simple composition, a nice portrait that also includes an interesting landscape and information about daily life in this place. The placement of the girl is superb, I like how her leaning posture contrasts the dynamism of the perspectives of the scenery. The light falls beautifully on the girl, tha bottles and the view in the background. The colours are very natural and lovely and so well matched. Congratulations and thank you!

A welcoming and very refreshing sight Maria, a beautiful gal and those great looking calorie-filled trio making me thirsty but luckily my good friend mr smirnoff is with me. All very tempting includes the bright river view in the background which looks natural to this shot and abound of rich colours and tones. A nicely framed shot, Congrats.

this girl must like the beer very much, she is already at her 3rd bottle while waiting for the friends.
She does not do that very often though as people drinking a lot of beer are rarely slim.

A fine river promende scenery, and well adorned by the presence of the young elegent lady in blue.
Three beers is not a big deal there, but I take the word she had not consumed this all by herself...
The lady face expression beautifully rendered in picture, perfect portrait with the river as BG.

Hello Maria,
You have captured a beautiful panorama of the Angara River, with typical for Russia scene in the foreground. The girl is nice in your picture, but the beer seems to be not, because it is prohibited to drink or even keep it uncorked at public places outdoor (but maybe Irkutskaya Oblast is an exception from this rule). Nevertheless, your shot is great. Excellent presentation of Siberian daily life!

un flagrante muy bueno. me encanta la posiciуn de la niсa con la praga moderna en las manos. bonita posiciуnn de las botellas con el paisaje al fundo. talvez una versiуnn vertical seria buena tambien. GPC.
cuando visitaba rosбrio he visto algunas botellas abandonadas en una plaza, una lбstima que la luz era flaca y la mia foto se quedу mala, hice otra asi en Ushuaia aсos despues.

Well, this is your last available picture of Russia for me to comment on, you had better post some new ones soon! :))

Love this simple, unassuming and candid shot. It's something we can all relate to in this day and age. It would seem more appealing to enjoy the views and sunshine on a nice day like this, but so many people prefer to have their faces buried in a phone!?

Odd for me to see open containers of alcohol in public, as that's only permissable in few locations here in the States. Funny enough though, the green bottles are a nice color combination with this young ladies blue dress...which is of course, my favorite color. :) Hope she didn't have to wait too long for her friends....or had she, and those are her bottles lying in wait? jaja Enjoy the rest of the day. Ciao.
