"Selargino" Wedding #2, a photo from Cagliari, Sardegna

Photographer's Note

The “Selargino” wedding is an event folkloristic and religious held in Selargius (Cagliari) the first week in September.
The bride and groom, in traditional dresses, and joined by a chain, a symbol of an unbreakable bond, are united in marriage in a religious ceremony.

The procession of the couple chained parades through the streets of the town accompanied by many folk groups, who came from all countries of Sardinia.

In this photo a traditional dress as a widow of Isili (Cagliari)

In WS the bride accompanied by her father parades through the streets before going to church for the celebration of religious rites.

This is a most beautiful shot.
The lady is serene and unassumingly beautiful.
I love how you have positioned the figure, with the shoulders appearing from the corners, the pins and pleats leading to the face and her face slightly tilted.
The narrow dof is perfect for the subject.

Mi piacciono il viso perfetto e lo sguardo nostalgico di madonna.
Anche buonissimo il ritratto di colore nel WS. Pero, facesti bene di scegliere il sepia per quest'occasione.
