I'm not active anymore here, because I have changed to the sister site Treknature. But from time to time I will upload a special image. Since I was a child I was always a big Fan of these birds and today I can proudly present a quite good picture of a male with a fish in its beak. Enjoy!

Ich bin hier nicht mehr groЯartig tдtig, weil sich meine Fotomotive geдndert haben und ich deshalb zur Schwesterseite Treknature gewechselt bin. Trotzdem werde ich von Zeit zu Zeit besondere Bilder meiner Arbeit hier vorstellen. Seit ich ein kleiner Junge war, bin ich ein Fan dieser wunderschцnen Vцgel und deshalb mцchte ich heute (ganz stolz) ein Bild von einem mдnnlichen Eisvogel mit einem Fisch im Schnabel prдsentieren. Viel Spass!

Very nice,and certainly not easy photo!
The background blurr is perfect,even at f/7.1...
Did you know that when the kingfisher holds his prey "head forward",it means it's destinated to his little birds,so they can swallow it easier because of the scales orientation.

Ein tolles Foto mit dem Grьnlich,verschwommenen Hintergrund.
Kingfishers habe ich bisher nur in Australien und Asien live erlebt.
