A local lady of Rajasthan who had come to visit Pushkar with her family.She was wearing a veil on her face all time.Veil tradition is still prevalent in India and in rural regions it is strongly practiced.Women can not dare to step outside without covering their head and faces.

What a striking, visually strong image of awoman in her traditonal dress. And as you describe, behaving impeccable too !

It is intersting to see amongst all the old values, the presence of the modern watch !

this is a lovely portrait, vivid, colourful and mysterious at the same time. I like the superb clarity against the blurry background and the abrupt chromatic contrast between the two. The gaze of the lady is powerful and interesting even through the veil. I guess you acted very quickly, she mustn't have held this elegant and necessary pose for long. Well done!
