Road to Paradise, a photo from New Brunswick, Atlantic

Photographer's Note

Red and sugar maples electrify a country road that runs along the Kennebecasis River in Southern New Brunswick - amidst the ominous backdrop of an approaching nor'easter.

The ambient light on a dark gloomy day seems to always trump the more brighter days when 'bringing out' the more intense shades of orange-brown.

Colour hue/intensity can vary from year to year - depending mostly on the climate & weather conditions within the months leading up to this autumn spectacle.

Although 2010 has seen overall leaf density diminished by an early hurricane/storm season - the 'wow factor' is at or slightly above average.

Very classic view , it's true, but awakens sweet memories of the 3 fall seasons I spent in Canada and I remember how eager we were to see this season arrive
Of course great colors in your shot and a good compo with the turning road

Welcome to TE! This is one of the loveliest fall foliage shots so far this season - at least in my opinion. :-) The dramatic sky is a great backdrop to the amazing orange leaves. You also have a nice POV, with the small road leading us through the photo and into the trees.

You have captured very nice colors on this photo even with the lack of sun. The road which is well framed bu the trees each side, leads my look along the forest. Good sharpness and well done.
