The train experience, a photo from Puno, South

Photographer's Note

Thereґs a train that run between Puno and Cuzco. Itґs said that is higher railway over the sea level. What itґs true is that this travel could become a wonderfull experience, specially when you cross the highlands of the Andes, a landscape we are not used in the place where I live. Mountains, valleys, llamas... I hope you enjoy the experience. It was more than worthy for me.

Hay un tren que une las ciudades de Cuzco y Puno. Dicen que es la lнnea fйrrea mбs alta sobre el nivel del mar. Lo cierto es que este viaje se puede convertir en una gran experiencia, especialmente cuando cruzas elaltiplano andino, un paisaje que no es habitual donde vivo. Montaсas, valles, llamas, alpacas... espero que disfrutйis de la experiencia. Para mн mereciу mбs que la pena.

I love travelling by train and they often makes for good photo-options too. In this case you make the most of the ride. The idea of reflecting the grand landscape in the window works really well. Good idea. I think I'll make a train-shot theme and add your pic.

Wow.I have heard about this train before,and i always wanted to see how it looks like.Here is it!You did a ggod job,the landscape is amazing and the train slips in that! Good Job.

Ola Miguel! This is a fine image!! Lovely reflection on the windows and the perspective is soooo nice specially since we can see and the first vagons of the train...good sharpness also...technically is very good (maybe a small rotation so that the vertical lines of the train to be totally vetical - but this is a minor thing)...I really engoyed your photo! I wish I could use this train some time, since I find its rout very interesting...

I love beautiful reflection of the mountains and the front portion of train.It gives feel of transparent train.Lovely picture.
I would love to travel across Andres but it is so far away

Hola Miguel!, Welcome home after your Travel by Peru. Perfect reflection of the mountain and the last vagons of the same train, on the window glass. Good deepness helped with the long of the train. Really it seems to be a very good trip.

Me encanta esta foto, tnego que intentar alguna vez una toma de estas, pero el problema es que los trenes ya no tienen ventanas que se puedan abrir para sacar la cabeza y no es cuestiуn de jugarse la vida por una foto.:-). їcomo la sacastй?. En mi opiniуn la composiciуn mejora algo recortando aprox. la mitad del cielo, con lo que la lнnea de horizonte sale de la zona central. La verdad que la V1 para el tamaсo que tiene cuando esta en las manos adecuadas da resultados excepcionales. Jesus

the landscape is breathtaking. i dont know if you've had a look at claude's latest photograph of a cow.

Muy buena foto de un tren con los reflejos del paisaje en sus ventanas. No son las vнas fйrreas mбs altas del mundo, esas las encuentras aqui. Si quieres mбs info de este tren, o alguien mбs que lea esto, hay que visitar PeruRail.
Respecto a lo que pregunta JesusV, lo que pasa es que en el Perъ los vagones sн tienen ventanas que se pueden abrir, por eso se puede sacar la cбmara por la ventana, ademбs que el tren va a unos 35kph nada mбs, por lo queel peligro es mнnimo.

Esta foto es preciosa. Los reflejos en el tren hacen que el paisaje sea formidable y el humo de la hoguera parece unirse con las nubes. (Esto me ha convencido de que estabas a una gran altura) :)
