Photographer's Note

This plaza is one of the most representative public spaces of the city of Lima. It is located at the minth block of Colmena avenue, within the historic centre, which was declared a world heritage site in 1988 by UNESCO. Its central monument gives homage to Josй de San Martin, liberator of the country.
It was inaugurated on July 27, 1921, in celebration of the independence.

Hello Pedro,
A great overview of this large square. The statue is well included in the middle in front of the faзades of those white houses. The people and the pigeons add a lively mood.

Ce ciel lourd et pesant sur la ville rend la composition encore plus belle.
La place avec son libйrateur statufiй en son centre magnifie l'ensemble.

Les touristes sont rares sur cette belle place, probablement а cause de la pluie et du temps frais, ce qui n'empкche pas les pigeons d'en profiter.

Una linda plaza de Lima, con imponente arquitectura, y con el tнpico tiempo nublado de la ciudad... La silueta de la estatua de San Martнn y el caballo se destaca muy bien en la imagen! Excelente trabajo!
