Santa Rita Church

Its construction dates back to the 18th century, without a precise date, undergoing successive renovations in the 19th century that characterized its current beveled facade. Inside, the simplicity of the marbled ornamentation and the Sгo Sebastiгo wing made by order of Ensign Вngelo Martins de Siqueira, father of the legendary Ana D'Бfrica, stand out. The church is located at the top of a long staircase from where you can see the Pico do Itambй, with its 2044 meters of altitude, and a panoramic view of the historic center of Serro.

Igreja Santa Rita

Sua edificaзгo remonta ao sйculo XVIII, sem data precisa, passando no sйculo XIX por sucessivas reformas que caracterizaram sua atual fachada chanfrada. Em seu interior se destaca a singeleza da ornamentaзгo marmorizada e o alar de Sгo Sebastiгo confeccionado por ordem do Alferes Вngelo Martins de Siqueira pai da lendбria Ana D'Бfrica. A igreja se localiza no alto de uma longa escadaria de onde se avistam o Pico do Itambй, com seus 2044 metros de altitude, e uma vista panorвmica do centro histуrico do Serro.

Hello Ricardo,
The long staircase and the buildings on the sides have created a lovely depth. The upward view also benefits the composition greatly, and you took this at the time of the day when the light shone perfectly on the faзade of the pretty church. It's a very well composed photo where also the nearest lamppost and the palm tree are important. They help to balance the photo and there is a fine invisible diagonal line between them.

Hello Ricardo, a fine view as my eyes follow the flight of steps and up towards the yellow painted church which is like a beacon as the sun shines on it.

Hi Ricardo,
Fantastic composition with the very long staircase leading to the charming church. The church seems to be in the spotlight, the last (or first) rays of the sun are warmly touching the upper part of the image. But the whole street seems very well decorated with the well taken care of bushes, stylish houses , lamps and a palm tree.

A quiet but wonderful town with colonial architecture.
The long stairs create a good depth and the church on top baths nicely in the sunlight.

Sensacional composicion con la perspectiva de la gran escalera que con duce a lo alto de la colina con la iglesia, bonitas casas coloniales muy cuidadas a ambos lados, la iglesia en lo alto con el sol luce esplendida, lo peor subir las escaleras para llegar a la iglesia agotado.
Excelente POV, con muy buena iluminaciуn, colorido y nitidez para disfrutar los detalles.

Da ъltima vez que estive aн, arrumei uma correria pra cima e pra baixo nessa escada, procurando outros вngulos, esquecendo o tripй no carro... A iluminaзгo sу na parte do alto dб ainda mais destaque а igreja, sendo um diferencial nessa foto! Belo trabalho!
