De arquitetura eclйtica com influкncia neogуtica, a Igreja de Sгo Josй foi construнda pela congregaзгo dos redentoristas e й um dos mais notбveis monumentos construнdos na cidade. Com uma forma de uma perfeita cruz latina, a matriz tem 60 metros de comprimento e 19 de largura. Teve sua decoraзгo interior iniciada em agosto de 1910 e abriga capitйis das belas colunas no estilo corнntio, o grandioso presbitйrio, alйm de um уrgгo de tubos fabricado em 1927. A pintura interna da igreja foi feita pelo artista alemгo Guilherme Schumacher, que entregou a obra em fins de 1912.

Eclectic architecture with neo-Gothic influence, the Church of St. Joseph was built by the congregation of Redemptorists and is one of the most remarkable monuments built in the city. With a perfect shape of a Latin cross, the matrix is 60 meters long and 19 wide. Had its interior decoration started in August 1910 and is home to beautiful capitals of the columns in the Corinthian style, the grand presbytery, and a pipe organ built in 1927. The interior painting of the church was made by the German artist Wilhelm Schumacher, who delivered the work in the ends of 1912.

You captured this church under very favourable light conditions, that show the vivid colours of the architecture so nicely. The colour contrast with the blue background is great too, also thanks to your well chosen angle of shooting.

Hello Ricardo,

A good upward pov on this imposing cathedral with its warm gold and yellow colors contrasting superbly against the blue sky. Good sharpness and the perspective has been well managed placing the verticals centrally. Tfs!
