Photographer's Note
Sé Station by the end of the day. First attempt in b&w.
amazing how i caught the station so empty at 6pm of a weekday.
the metro of São Paulo is only 30 years old. its 'blue line' (the oldest/longest ones), that joins north to south, is 20,2km long and carries 325 million people/year. yet, of course, not big enough. we´re proud of it though.
more about it can be seen at http://www.metro.sp.gov.br/redes/teredes.shtml
critiques welcome :)

Good, interesting shot Isabel.
I don't mind the fact that everything is a bit tilted here, I think it adds to the composition.
I do think that the top part should be cropped out and also that some sharpening and adjustment of levels could be done here to enhance the dramatic effect. See my workshop.
Well done anyway.

Good photo Isabel. I like the blurred people and motionless trains which remind me of one of your earlier shots. Great composition featuring the sweeping curves. I think it might be good to crop the very top part.

Grande imagem.

a very nice cut-view composition. I like it very much. A very nice angle, showing what happens in each level. B/W is a good choice here. Well done. It reminds me my theme

I like the symmetry you have with the two levels and two trains. The blurred people are well spaced too. I think it needs rotating though, but i can't decide which way : )

Hi Isabel, I'm runnning out of remarks, your clicks are so great!!! this one for instance, it's all about point of view and observation... amazing the mix of lines, curve and straight ones, and with a touch of depth amid them. Great sense of aesthetic !!! the fact that it caught the momment on B&W make us enjoy all the lines instead of an usual tube. Yours, seems a very futuristic one.

Very nice image. I love it. I love to see those people moving, blurred. The curves of the building are also very nice.
Double train, very good.

This is a great composition of curved and straight lines, nailed in place by the two big columns. The placement of the two trains perpendicular to each other and on different levels is very interesting, and adds to the feeling of heavy construction and large forces as a contrast to the blurry shadows of people passing through. Very good.
PS: the partly visible sign on the lower level is a bit disturbing to the flow of lines.

A grand use of motion blur! The concrete curves are so solid in your composition, that the blurry people seem very appropriate.

I have looked at guyben workshop and - to tell you the truth - each is different.. I like yours just fine. I have no problem with anything. the multiple lines of the photo are powerful.
I especially like the still figure in front of the top train in the middle of the image - I think it is a woman - almost a stick figure - strongly standing and capturing my attention

I was writing my critique, when I saw that guyben said the same, I think the cropping will give it a better composition, and indeed the colouradjustment may 'dramatise' the photo somewhat.
very god POV and interesting subject, thanx for the note

Isabel,
Interessante essa paisagem aí da Sé... Apenas nela, pelo entroncamento, seria possivel, né? O p e b caiu uma perfiçao.
