Photographer's Note

Portugal always had a lot of concern with the military defense of the town of Paraty. First for the fact of the gold of the mines to pass for that port and, second, because the Portuguese knew that Paraty was one of the few points of the Brazilian coast with easy access for the interior of the then colony and for that reason it could be invaded by French or Spanish in search of the gold.

Nice landscape view with clear and crisp colors. The framing has added beauty. The note is useful.

I like your composition and POV here showing the canon from a nice angle showing it's view of he harbor. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and DOF. The sky is great and forms a nice backdrop for the shot.
