Pause for a butterfly, a photo from Minas Gerais, Southeast

Photographer's Note

I don't understand about butterflies and this one I photographed at the Belo Horizonte Zoo in the capital of Minas Gerais. Sorry for the quality that is not very good but I hope you like it.

P.S: Thanks to Luciano, here's the name: It's an "Heliconius erato", one of about 40 neotropical species of butterfly belonging to the genus Heliconius.(Luciano)

Hello Ricardo,

Just a little motion blur of the wings at left but the right is fine. You did much better with this butterfly shot than I ever do. They immediately fly away whenever I approach. Tfs!

Hello Ricardo, it is an eye catching picture with the bright flashes of colour on the insects wings contrasting with the green and pink of the surrounding plants.
Plus the contrasting background of the net with all its straight lines.

Hello Ricardo,
The butterfly is beautiful and the orange parts of its wings stand out well from the background. Also the pink flowers look very nice and the light was pleasant and bright.

Hello Ricardo,
The butterfly has spread its wings entirely open so that you could take a symmetrical photo of the little animal.
The body and feelers are very sharp. Of course the butterfly moved its wings a little.
Nice with the pink flowers and green leaves.
