THE KISS, a photo from Distrito Federal, Center-West

Photographer's Note

There are many artworks inside the MAB museum, at least a piece of each famous or not so famous modern Brazilian artist, including the most expensive, with a colorful canvas of Beatriz Milhazes.
The pieces shown in this museum are a mix of sculptures, drawings, engravings, paintings and artistic installations with curious materials. I would like to show you the most interesting pieces, but I had to choose only one and I guess the visual effect of this sculpture and the light above created a nice photo.
This sculpture is made of steel and aluminium, created by Ana Maria Tavares, its name is "The Kiss".

Existem muitas obras de arte dentro do MAB, ao menos uma peзa de cada um dos mais famosos e nem tгo conhecidos artistas modernos do Brasil, incluindo uma tela colorida de Beatriz Milhazes, a artista cujos trabalhos sгo os mais valiosos.
As peзas mostradas nesse museu sгo uma mescla de pintura em tela, escultura, desenho, gravura e instalaзхes artнsticas que usam elementos variados.
Tinha que escolher apenas uma peзa para mostrar e escolhi essa escultura de Ana Maria Tavares, chamada de "O Beijo", feita de aзo e alumнnio. Acho que a escultura ficou bonita na foto.

Hello Jorge,
It's an interesting sculpture, even though I don't see any "kiss". But that's not important. I like the design of the curving metal rods and if I had this at home I would probably grow to love it.

Hi Jorge,
I would never guess the title ha ha!
Maybe it is like with the titles which we give to TE photos: they are rather trying to focus our attention on something we would not notice otherwise.

A good photo of this appealing artwork. The black and white works well and the art stands out clearly against the white and grey tones of the walls.

Hello Jorge, I have very little imagination so I do not see who kisses whom. I wonder what were the other works. Quite interesting idea and lines. But is it in colour?
