Glaciar Perito Moreno, a photo from Santa Cruz, South

Photographer's Note

This photo of the Perito Moreno glacier was taken at about 5pm, dec 2003, a few weeks before the middle part of the glacier collapsed. Big chunks of ice had been falling into the lake, making thunder-like noises. It had been on the verge of raining the whole day and as I was about to leave, the sun came out and the light became incredible. A shame I can't share the sound that goes with it...

Welcome to TE! Beautiful photo to start out with. The shades and light on the ice is amazing. What a view and great use of light. A note with this photograph would have been helpful too, maybe a thought for the next photo!

Hello Marie, this is amazing photo. Giant glacier, and this point of view makes such feeling, too. I like the light, the sky is a bit threatening, and it supplements the cold mood of the place. Excellent. Thanks for sharing.
