Photographer's Note

Not the worlds best picture I'll admit. I bet it would of been a brilliant sunset aswell if we had waited an hour or two, but since we had a ferry to catch it wasn't too be. So this is the view we got as reward for a 2 hour drive to the very North of the Marlborough Sounds on unsealed roads.
As the shot was taken straight into the sun I have had to tweek it slightly on Photoshop.
Brightness - -80
Contrast - +7
And I sharpened the image for good measure aswell.

Love the spark of the sun. Excellent composed shot. Eventhough a simple photo but well balanced atmosphere. Well done.

Hello there, I don't find the right words for this picture. Brilliant, terrific, super,... What a sprakling sun over such a nice view! Maybe you're right that after a couple of hours the sunset would have been better for the picture, but inthis way it's also amazing. I'm going to NZ this year in december, I hope to show you pictures as nice as yours! Greetz, Nele
