Te Anau is where most people exploring the Fiordland area of New Zealand's south island stay. The town itself is hardly exciting but it is set on a lake and there are mountains in the background in most directions. The lake is large but with just 1 yacht visible against the distant snow capped mountains.

A nice composition of the blue in the dark blue lake and a beautiful scenery in the background. Very attractive views in both WS, and particularly beautiful colours. All these photos look remarkably much sharper and brighter in the larger versions in a new tab.

Beautiful sight here. The sailboat of course adds a nice touch. I like all the blue color tones across the frame.
The high mountains covered with the snow on the horizon are amazing.

Hi Ian,

The distance between the sailboat and the coast is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the sailboat and of the mountain in the background. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Beautiful combination of the lake and the yacht with the forested hills and the snowcapped mountain.
The photo in WS2 gives an amazing overview of different landscape forms, presented in a great composition with horizontal layers.
