Photographer's Note
Evilren posted a humourous sign from Australia earlier on (which can be found here), and that reminded me of this picture. Kata Tjuta (aka The Olgas), and a kangaroo warning sign would be a quintessentially Australian image - but with the addition of the skis I think it takes on a whole new perspective ;-D
Yes, the sign was really like that in real life!

Even without the sign this is a great shot. Look at that sky, the colors and composition. The texture of the road is amazing...oh, yeah, and the sign is funny as hell, too. Well done, Adrian!

I completely agree with Fil: even without sign this shot is very interesting.
But without it photo will not be so classical and pleasing composed.
I like this kangaroo signs a lot. I even whant to buy one somewhere to install it somewhere in my office (possibly fiding a place with a most ammout of people working).

I am still laughing, I have been there and didn't see this one (kangaroo skiing?).
great composition especially the way u devided the picture into 3 levels. The clouds in the sky are stunning adding to the DOF.

I don't think I'll be rushing there for my next ski holiday - the thought of a kangaroo swishing past me as I battle down a red run sends shivers down my spine! I love the composition of your shot and the colours - the blue sky complements the yellow sign perfectly.

I think having sports with various mammals is also quintessentially australian, doesn't the world owe them the famous "human dwarf throwing"?
Just needs a blue Foster can smashed on the road to be fully australian... ;)
No need to comment the pic, it speaks for itself. Excellent.

Excelent composition with the olgas in the background. I actually remember seeing this sign when I was there, I didn't get as good a photo of as you though.
Really nice colours and great sky.
Good work!

This is pretty good - it works on a number of levels. The skiing kanagaroo thing is pretty funny and it tells you about the place you took it in. Compositionally its pretty good too - the mountain balances the sign very well and the diagonal of the road adds an element of dynamism. And then to top it off you've got the lovely polarised sky.

Such a funny sign and very beautiful backdrop. Nice framing of the shot. I like it a lot. This sign reminds me of some pedestrian walkway signs I've seen where they are hula-hooping :) I'll have to find one and take a picture.

Yes I have a shot of a similar sign except yours has a much better background. I liked the idea so well that I've made an embroidery pattern that of this outline that I've put on some of my ski clothes

Hello Adrian
NOt only is the sign quite original and humorous, but you have captured the whole environment really well, great dof including the rocks and sky in the background.

Great image, an amazingly well positioned sign, as well as being an awesomely edited sign.
I love the rock formation reminds me of 'Moonwalker' when MJ is dancing with the rabbit, you know?
Fantastic POV and sharpness throughout.

The fact that you got this composition, on top of the funny sign, is awesome. Great shot.

Adrian you need to split my smiley < the big 5oh > with the "artist" who did you the favour of prepping this sign, mate!
Well caught and excellent presentation. Love the colours,
and of course the humour! Tfs, Jay
