Photographer's Note
When you walk through our national park you come across a place called Aussie Pipe. It is rated in the top 10 breaks in the world by all the top surfers. The wave is always curling and it is great for us photographers to get that inside barrel shot.Did he make it?I will let you decide!I took this photo from my sea kayak on a cannon 350-300mmm speed at 1/2000 sec.Thankyou Richard

You have every right to be proud of this successful picture.
I don't mind whether the surfer makes it or not, but I am glad you made the photo. My only concern is if your equipment got wet...
Congratulations!

Greetings Richard,
When I saw the thumbnail I was wondering how you managed to get inside the wave to get this shot.
Very nicely done.Great blue in the water.Good clarity and lighting on the subject behind the wave.Splashing water and the expression on the face gives this pic the fast action feel.amazing DOF right through the end of the wave.
Great shot - Vikram

Hi Richard. You sure have a great lens with good clarity. The DOF and focus are played perfectly. I love the desperate look on the surfers face. Fantastic catch Richard!!

Very cool. Everything looks so smooth. So.. were you in the water too when you took this- surfing along side the guy, because I distinctly see blue water all around this frame and frankly, am very impressed. Great job- there is nothing to pick about.

Two words Richard... "SIMPLY AWESOME".
I would be so proud to have an action shot like this in my portfolio! I'm amazed at the pinpoint sharpness of the surfer especially amidst the water which I'm sure would have made for a focusing nightmare!
What type of camera are you shooting with Richard?
As per your last critique of my shots... you too "have the eye"!
Well done mate,

Wow. Very impressed. I do wish I could see a little more of his face though I am also aware how hard it is to get a shot even close to this good.
Great sharpness!
