Shorncliffe Pier Beach, a photo from Queensland, East

Photographer's Note

Not really recommended for swimming as the recent flooding has left a lot of bacteria in the water plus there are many sea lice at this location. But Moora Park has electric barbecues, parking, toilets, children's playgrounds and shelter sheds with picnic tables and seating. Best shots of the pier are at high tide with blue hour. I've loaded a couple of bonus shots.

Hello Chris,
This looks very British. I like the long white diagonal of the pier and the quite gently rolling waves. There's a nice atmosphere of a quiet beach life in the WS, so I hope they could all avoid the unpleasant bacteria and lice.

Splendid perspective of this long pier built on stilts that goes into the sea, the two photos of the WS are equally magnificent, a beautiful place where bathing is not recommended.
Optimal composition and good color, light and sharpness.

To be honest, I wouldn't dare to swim ... in any 'open' water in Australia except swimming pool :-)
Well, I do like walking on the pier ... amazing long pier , 'simple and nice' overlooking the Moora Park and the sea beyond.
Talking about sea lice ... I've experienced that in Malaysia. It's not nice I can tell you that ... I'm sure you know that , yourself :-)
