Photographer's Note
Digging a little way into the past for this one. A summer scene very nearly three years ago while on a Saturday excursion with the Melbourne TE members both active and passive.
Peluquería is Spanish for hairdresser's shop.
We see the twin piers of Portarlington, a small town about 110km from Melbourne by road but only 40km 'as the crow flies'. A glance at the map link will show how it's located at the mouth of the Corio Bay, where it has an interesting, hazy view of Melbourne's sky-scrapers seemingly rising from the water.
Portarlington is renowned for its mussels (moules, mejillónes) and from its mussel farms come 60% of Australia's mussels. Many people come to buy them directly from the mussel boats as soon as they return with their cargo. On a fine, summer Saturday one could almost say that the little jetty bustles with mussels. Anglophones brought up on the game of cricket may let that pun 'go through to the keeper'. Not to mention the rhyming alliteration in the title.
Here, two schoolgirls take turns to do each other's hair under the smaller jetty. I think we can be fairly certain they are not removing lice. The fishing boats and mussel boats behind are moored to a busier jetty reinforced by a rocky breakwater behind it.

Bonjour, cher Andrew,
Très belle présentation de ce port de pêche. La présence de jeunes filles sous le ponton dynamise joliment la composition. Belle réussite photographique.
Amitiés.

Hello Andrew,
Rather curious and precarious place for a hair grooming session, perhaps they were hiding from someone? Whatever, they make an interesting and effective focal point in this well constructed composition adding another dimension to the scene. The strong geometric lines of the pier complement the upright mooring posts in the background. Very good lights and colours and excellent sharpness.

Hello Andrew
Excellent grab shot of these two girls: what an eccentric place for a barber's! And I love your witty note, alliteration, puns and all. Not sure that Peter Nevill would be able to stop that one though: I think it's four byes! Of course the technical execution is perfect.
Regards
Will

Hello Andrew,
In any case, a good place to remove lice, when the lice make a jump, it is in the water.
A lovely picture with a good combination of different subjects
Excellent composition.
Colours and presentation are likeable.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hello Andrew,
The question of this picture: what are those two girls doing there? However, their location in the composition is optimal.
Nice picture,
Kind regards,

Hello Andrew,
To my mind it's the unexpected things people do in the streets, and under piers, that make the most interesting photos possible. Your skilled eyes spotted these girls cleverly and found an amusing photo. The details of the pier and the boats in the background create further charm to the picture.
Best regards,
Gert

A very nice scene you have caught, I dont know why they sit under the pier, are they looking for shade or they want not to be seen, very well captured and composed

Hi Andrew
What a sight - Hairdo under the jetty! it goes well when they look engrossed in whatever they were doing and you have a well structured composition. You've made good use of the daylight in this one - the vivid colour and strong contrasts like this give an entirely different feel to an image Beautifully photographed with great detail. Congrats
Best wishes

Hi Andrew,
Fun daily life moment of this seaside place. Those girls have found a place for a little hideout. Those old boats look interesting too, although it's abit pity they are not as colourful as for example in Greece.

Howdy Andrew,
Appealing candid of Portarlington marina, school girls underneath pier, anchored boats background. Just need to have a boat ride.
Well done,
Cheers,
