Just beautiful, Ian. I love that rock in the foreground - great textures! The scene is lovely, with the moon a bonus. Nice depth, well chosen exposure. I would prefer a simple black frame I think, but well done - an excellent seascape.

Hey Ian, looks like I missed out on something in Australia. Beautiful spot! The formations on the rocks are crazy too.
The only thing is: I don't really like the blue frame. I would leave it behind. The pic has enough colour now, as it is.
Take care :) Sarah

Hello Ian :)
Wow! You got an excellent result with this ND filter here. The deep blue color of the sky combined with the others blue hues is really fantastic; and the texture's rendering on the rocks in foreground is remarkable! Fine composition work too: The horizon line and the moon are perfectly placed in the frame. Well done for this photograph, Ian.

I think the frames are very complimentary of this lovely magical scene. It is so lovely, makes me think of unicorns and wizards somehow. I love the dark color of the sky and the various colors in the rocks. The POV is perfect I think and the rocks at the shoreline in the upper right look almost like a sea monster. Excellet!

Marvelous shot, Ian - destined to become a TE classic. The low angle, the evening light, the soft effect on the water from the long exposure, the crisp detail on the foreground rocks and beachside elements - all great. And as if that was not enough yet, the added treat of having the moon rise above this. Really good.

This is a very satisfying composition with the line of rocks curving up and off to the right, the distant rocks to the left providing balance, the patch of sand and the moon as a final destination for ones attention.
Within this, it's the textures that seem the heart of the shot, with the fascinating and eerie rock surfaces and sea clouding from the long exposure. A shot to be proud of.

A really neat shot, and well-executed. The moon and darkness in the background and the lightness and detail up front really make it interesting. I like very much the softness of the water, too. I am not a fan of frames to begin with, so this one neither strikes me as good or bad. I just feel they take up valuable space that could be used to see the photo in better detail.

Thought I had critiqued this one before, Ian, but must have missed it. Another great example of your talent with the grad ND filters and PP. Pity about the compression problem in the sky, but that probably can't be avoided with a 200kb file size and so much saturation in the colours. Cheers . . . David

Hello Ian,
This is an absolutely amazing photo about nothing! You proved that a real artist doesn't need much to create art. Of course, there is a beach, a moon and the sea in this picture but I bet there are many photographers who would ask "what should I photograph here?" if they were in your place. But you saw the beauty of the textures and colors on the ground and anticipated the incredible effect a long shutter speed would create with those waves. On top of all that, the rising moon creates just the perfect atmosphere to contemplate the magic view. By placing the horizon line high in the picture you show everything that's below it and follow the rule of thirds. Exceptional work of art! Very well done! Thank you!
With Friendly Regards,
Eddie

Great!
