Photographer's Note
Eagles Nest is only a small part of the Bunurong Marine National Park. The Natinal Park extends along approximately 5 km of coastline from 2.5 km east of Cape Paterson in Southern Gippsland to the eastern end of Eagles Nest Beach (about 6 kilometres south-west of Inverloch), and offshore for approximately three nautical miles to the limit of Victorian waters, encompassing a total of approximately 2,100 hectares.
The Bunurong coast is special - a coast full of striking rock formations, attractive sandy coves, rugged sandstone cliffs and prominent headlands. The coastal waters also contain a remarkable range of habitats that support abundant marine life where at least 87 species of fish have been recorded, including many species of shark. The name "Bunurong" refers to the local Aboriginal group that has lived in this area for thousands of years and has used the coast extensively for food gathering.
This rocky outcrop, Eagles Nest, provides habitat for breeding peregrine falcons and hooded plovers.
This was taken from the Eagles Nest Lookout, in the company of Alfred (alftrek), Andrew (macondo), Steve (SteveH), Phillip.

Definitely this is a genre I prefer most! (:-)
Very well framed this interesting cape with a peculiar shape, and the warm evening light creates a very fine effect on the waves and on the rock itself. I really like the sky and how the ocean turned out (I'm very attentive to the sea surface).
A fine seascape and atmosphere. I like a lot the ws too.
Mad or brave? neither of the too, simply unaware. Every year a number of tourists here die while trying to photograph the waves too closely...
Ciao,

Hello Santo,
Looking at the relentless waves we can get some idea how this "eagles nest" comes about. You have got this in attractive colours and superb light against the backdrop of polarized blue sea and sky. The actions of the waves are well capture, so is the FG vegetation that nicely framed this POV. I have a very similar shot, no way as nice as yours but with one little thing that hopefully will make a difference. I know you wont believe it:))
The WS version is amazingly sharp with your zoom to 200FL.

ciao Santo,
splendido POV dall'alto su questo sperone di roccia.
Immagine molto affascinante per la bellezza del mare e per la resa dei colori.
Il cielo azzurro con le sue nuvole completa bene il tutto.
un caro saluto

Hi Santo, you must have been leaning right over the edge to capture this - there's always one that doesn't follow the rules. Although on this day there were a handful :-). The WA view works well, showing the rock and surrounding area. Only criticism is that the bushes in the FG are a bit lost in the darkness, which works well through the rest of the image. Cheers, STeve

Ciao Santo,
luogo di rilevante interesse turistico, ben rappresentato nella tua foto.
Bello l'effetto della risacca che crea contrasto con il blu del mare.
Ti auguro una buona serata!

Hello Santo,
This is a peculiar and interesting rock, but the most striking feature of this photo is the marvellous light management, sharpness and colours. It's a very attractive sight, not really like a painting but certainly a picture I could fancy hanging on my wall.
And as an experienced proof-reader, among other things, I notice a slight error in the title ;-)
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Santo,
What I like about this capture is that the scene looks rugged and forbidding. The angry sea with the waves dashing themselves against the rocks conjures up all sorts of ship wreck stories.
It's an excellent perspective and I love the warm light shining on the rock formation.
Very good choice of lens, the wide angle works perfectly.
Cheers

Ciao caro Santo, these tones are so rich and striking. You really have evoked the wildside here, the place is so deserted and untouched (well except for la pazzarella in your Workshop). I love the effect the wide-angle lens has brought out in the clouds, the world seems endless and the light bouncing off the "eagles nest" is truly spectacular. Great job, I'm surprised you find the time to escape with the NBs when there's work to be done on a certain lovely daughter's new "nest". Un abbraccio, Lisa

Hi Santo
These clouds, magnificent, and then the waves, fantastic. That is an outstanding photo job. Well done.
Thanks for your critique of my fishery port st hot from Yan. You certainly are right, this spot could be in Sarawak or Sabah. The rivers are as muddy there and here.
Best regards

Hello Santo,
It is an eye-catching work of nature..!
And this time the light is on your side, playing so nicely with this natural sculpture...
The surf that is washing the shores of Victoria creates a fine setting!

Hello Santo,
The view of this picturesque cliffs surrounded with sea waves is extremely impressive indeed. In addition, the sky is engaged in competition with the sea on wonderful colors and beauty of the shapes. The composition, colors, light, photographic qualities and note are excellent here. Very artistic job!

This seascape is really magnificent, captured from a privileged point of view. The complex lines of the rock match the lines of the waves, and the dark colors contrast well with the sky. Wonderful work, congratulations!
