Photographer's Note

Well shaped surf pounds the rocks between Bondi beach and Tamarama beach. Taken from the cliff-top walking track, one of my favorites around Sydney. On this day the swells were large and straight, created by weather far from this shore, making it an ideal day for surfing.

Nice looking break, I'm surprised no one is on the wave.
Great texture in the shot, the black and blue is so clean.
You're getting good looking pictures out of that Sigma.

Hi Murray.
Impressive looking wave caught at the right moment with the right shutter speed. I also like the light glinting on the water running off the rock. Very sharp.
I've walked along that path quite a few times, from Bronte to Bondi!

Hi Murray,

Superb work, this wave looks very imposing next to the rocky coastline. The foaming surf looks so very inviting for a swim. The surfers out the back would be pretty happy with this swell. It's been a very lackluster summer here, the weather has been super wet and getting to the beach has not worked as of yet. Looking forward to a return of days like this. Cheers.
