Photographer's Note

The Murray River is Australia's longest at over 2500 km. It rises in the Australia Alps in the east of New South Wales and Victoria then flows west becoming the border between the 2 states and eventually reaches the ocean in South Australia. 5 of Australia's next 6 longest rivers are tributaries of the Murray River.
On our way home from South Australia we paused for a couple of days in the riverside town of Loxton. The river used to be a major transport route but these days you'll just find house boats like those in the main photo and larger river cruise boats.
