Photographer's Note
There's a small temporary shed behind the Heavenly Queen Temple in Footscray. Inside the walls are lined with small cupboards, some with information written in Chinese script and some with photos. This is where the ashes of deceased relatives are stored. They are visted there by living relatives who sometimes leave little offerings. They'll be moved to a more permanent home once the building is finished.

Hi Steve,I've never seen anything like it, so your post is really interesting. A temporary collective tomb to which relatives can visit and leave offerings, a good level catch to make us better understand the thing. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Steve
I've seen places like this in Hong Kong and also on the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland. This is when you wish you could read Chinese. A good interesting one.
cheers
Ian
