Today, two more paragraphs from the same article in Wikipedia:

Some people manage only pocket change from busking, while others can amass substantial incomes. An act that might make money at one place and time may not work at all in another setting. A busker's income depends on many conditions, including the composition of the audience, the type and quality of the performance, and the time of day. Location can be the key, and competition from other entertainers can also play a role, both positively and negatively.
Busking can be the bottom rung of the entertainment industry, and some of the most famous groups and superstars started their careers as buskers. Examples include the Blue Man Group, Cirque Du Soleil, Stomp, Bob Hope, George Burns, Rod Stewart, Dolly Parton, Eric Clapton, Simon and Garfunkel, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Pierce Brosnan and Joni Mitchell.

This photo was taken in the Brisbane Queen Street Mall at around lunch time on a week day. The performer, an acrobat, went around the audience with is hat and made a quite good tax free revenue for a ten minutes exhibition. As I also contributed to his hat, I can assure you that several notes (A$5 and A$10) were given to him that day.

Every person deserves a salary as long as they perform gracefully :-)
Very good picture of this daily situation. Interesting expressions of friendliness towards each other. Well taken picture with good, natural colors. Nice work :-)

Em ambas usas bem a curta profundidade de campo, salientadndo o que se passa na cena principal, mas adoro a expressгo da senhora de vermelho lб atrбs a bater palmas de contente, o que nгo й para menos: a acrobacia, parece bastante impressionante! Eu tambйm lhe dava qualquer coisa...

me gustarнa saber quй se estarбn diciendo los dos personajes de tu foto, porque se lo estбn pasando bien, o al menos asн lo parece.
Bien captado el momento en que el acrуbata, despuйs de su actuaciуn, acerca su sombrero al hombre de la calle para recoger algъn dinero, me gustan las expresiones en sus caras.
Buena definiciуn y calidad en la imagen, bien iluminada y con una buena profundidad de campo que deja fuera de foco la parte de detrбs de la foto. Es buena.

Nice daily life picture, I love it, nice colors, the smile is friendly and both buys loks happy.
Is interesting your pictures because not juts show a grate pictures, too show how is the life in the other side of the planet, and how this is so similar here too, plus you send information about this professions and this makes this picture complete.

Both of these photos are of primary post quality but actually prefer the amazing action and framing of the WS. The appreciative audience is seen in with enough blur to avoid competition of the curve of the acrobat's body; just splendid!!

Fine reportive shot. I was distracted to see the acrobat was putting his arm behind the man's. At the second glance I realised he had a black wristband, it is unclear at first.

Great moment you have captured here. The lightheartedness of their expressions show such good nature. Also, the spectator seems truly to have enjoyed the show as he reaches to make a contribution. Good Dof making your subjects stand out, yet keeping enough focus to let people know what the crowd was like. Another great shot.

Excellent exposure Antonio. I especially the expressions on their faces with the performer almost taunting the other guy to contribute. The wide aperture has plucked them nicely from the background too.
