Photographer's Note
While the mountains all around limited the moonrise and moonset shots, for me it was serendipity that the moon was full during our TE meeting. Next year we're looking for a weekend around the full moon for our Pt Reyes meeing.
I wish I could have found a moonshot that included Mpno Lake. I hope one of the others was able to find that sweet spot. I think this will be my last TE meeting shot for now. I will include a South Beach Lake shot; but only in the WS. Henk has already posted the masterpiece from here.

Pat the moon is beautiful in this shot. It catches my attention because of its colours and position on the frame. Beautiful place with the rock formations on the foreground. They seem perect for climbing. Nice night shot. How high are the rocks? Cheers :-)

Ahhhhhhhh..........this is nice, very nice. Sharpness on the Tufa is extreme, but not over the top. A complete different color than during daytime, it now glows in warmth, and the moon creates a mood i have seldom seen. See how the moon is shining, not white, but a bit yellow, oh how i love that sense of detail.
I know for sure that when i retun to California i will visit this place again, but then at least 4 days.
A beautiful photo Patricia...you really made a good one here.
Regards, Henk

Olá Pat
This is one of the most beautiful shots of the moon that I've seen here, despite the small size. By the other hand, adding much interest, the foreground seems like a view of the moon or other planet.

Hi Pat,
the colour of the tufa rocks in the moonlight is very special. I like your composition too.

Hello Pat,
Excellent composition and exposure job capturing the moon with perfect detail while keeping sufficient detail on the tufa. Neutral grad filter could help here, but it is a fine image nonetheless. Regards,

Pat, finally someone brought up the moon during the meeting. I was waiting for that. Well placed and good balanced light conditions rendering a perfect composition. That little detail of the cloud, almost a silk veil along the moon gives a lot of atmosphere.

Hi Pat, good image, just a little bit too saturated with the too yellow moon, but with a so unreal landscape, not from that heart!
good composition.
thanks, ciao

Hi Pat,
Nice scene with a magic light to see these rocky so peculiar formations, in a setting that gives a beautiful contrast of its interesting textures and its tones with those of the blue sky and the golden tones of the full moon. It is a very suggestive and relaxing image, which inspires peace, something very necessary at present.

Nice shot! This is a great example of why the moon is so powerful in an image. Even though it occupies a small space, it dominates the frame, and our eyes go immediately to it. Great color and I like those wild formations. Well done!

Hi Pat,
It's a very nice shots made of contrasts. Contrasts of textures and colors, mainly. The texture of these strange and very beautiful rocks, with the texture in the sky, And the colors, only four colors with a rich variety, and ver well framed. It's a very interesting scene. Thanks.
Regards,
Angel.

Hi Pat,
Stunning simple shot with three elements, the wonderful full moon the late night blue sky and the unique rock formation. All these elements are seen in clear true color and excellent details. I have really enjoyed all the photos from the Trekers on this eastern side of the mountains.

Pat,
Nice shot its beatiful. The moon is such a tough exposure too! It looks like the moon is melting the tufa.

Good Evening Pat -
I think you have captured a wonderful moon rise here with the Tufa standing tall in the FG. Everything is spot on the money. Not much else to add other than well done!
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Pat
I don't know how & why I missed this one. Amazing shot with the pre-sunrise light falling on the tufas, but the best part is the amazing moon. You are perhaps one of the most finest photographers of the moon in this site. Wonderful!

Angshu

Fantastical moon experience! You're a gem at this sort of photopraphy! I wish I was there to experience this moon when you did. Hope to see your future moon photos to include a lake shot soon!

Hi Pat,
Another oustanding scenic and some beautiful twilight light and a beautiful full moon. You handle twilight lighting as well as anyone on this forum in "my humble, 'unbiased' opinion". I am impressed with the old D70. Some of the best photos that I ever took was with the D70. I wish that I would have kept this old gem of a camera. The textures on the rock are especially a delight for the eyes!
