Photographer's Note
Another capture from the T.E. Meeting. We parked at the lot adjacent to the East Gate Entrance to Yosemite Park, on the Tioga Pass Road, then walked out into a meadow filled with small ponds. The wind was ruffling the surfaces but I found this spot tucked away out of the wind. This shot is looking back in a northward direction toward the Tioga Pass road. If you look carefuly you can see 3 T.E. members in the meadow.
I was struck by the symmetry of the "hourglass lake" juxtaposed with the symmetry of the reflection in the lower lake.

Ciao Larry!! what a magnificent place to have a TE meeting! I am sure that you didn't feel sa hot as now in Italy!
I appreciate here the way you managed reflections in the double lakes. Colors are so cvivid! And everything sharp: weather mnust have been very good and very clear!

Hi Larry. The reflections on the pond look very nice. I like the shape of the lakes and how you framed the water under the mountain on the back. The meeting definitely was a good time to shoot good scenes. Thanks Larry.

Hi Larry,
It seems to be a growing trend to organize TE meetings near a pond or a lake ;-)
It gave you a subject for a beautiful nature picture, these ponds with their reflections and the preserved nature all around are lovely, a nice image with fine techs.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Larry, your eyes have to so much better than mines. I barely can make us out and I usually look very carefully at posts, but this time it was only your note that made me see us. You're right, the hourglass composition is a striking one. Well seen!

Hi Larry
I'm not a fan of reflections, but here I like the shape of the "hourglass" ponds.
Cheers,

Hi Larry,
I love the hourglass shape .. I really like how the reflection does not envelop the foreground but is just a small portion of it .. it is like some sort of window .. beautiful image.
take care,
John

Hello Larry,
A lovely piece of nature, presented in this fine composition!
This must be at an altitude sine there are remains of snow and brownish grass as late as early June...
A nice sharp image with a pleasant reflection!
Greetings,
Pablo -
