Photographer's Note
When we we were shooting sunrise at the South shore on Sunday, Peter commented, that he doubted that there was ever a Mono Lake sunrise or sunset that goes unrecorded.
Here on North shore Saturday morning, I didn't see asnyone but our TE group and the sea gulls as the sun just started to warm the grass.

Hello Pat,
Nice view of this lake and the TE group shoting as often as possible... At this time, the palette of blues is very interesting. Well done.

Hello Pat -
Captured during the blue period with some very nice colors and shapes. The soft light is very pleasing to my eyes. I am not sure about the subjects in your image I am sure you could have found a better pair. But, it does show what is necessary to capture a great image - being there at the right time of day. Well documented.
Thank you for sharing.

I like the soft blue light in this, Pat, and you have composed it perfectly. I like how the two photographers are concentrating so intensely on the distant horizon (waiting for the sun to appear I assume?). Excellent DOF and sharpness too. I've added this to the 'Photographers at Work' theme. Cheers . . . David

Hi Patricia
Excellent capture of these photographeres waiting for sunrise. They are lucky for they only waited for this moment, while today I must dry every minute my lens with chamois. Till the moment I aware of checking how it survived...;)
BAck to you photography. This is the great tension waiting for the short while when the Sun comes up and start to illuminate the world and I feel this in your picture.

That seems to be a perfect shot to be placed not only as event, but also as decisive moment. I remember quite well as all of us were looking for the perfect composition ahead the sunrise to get those precious fractions of some minutes to have the perfect light. The two photographers here give exactly this moment. One of them even looks ready to jump into his composition ...

Hi Pat & Larry,
Zipity Do Da Zipity Day what a wonderful end to the day. Dreamy eye pleasing relaxing photo with the dedicated Trekers doing their best to catch this fleeting moment. The bird and flight and single cloud are gravey on this wonderful image.

I like this one Pat. The photographers waiting in the pre-dawn light for the magic moment, while you mischievously catch them out. The white rocks make the image look frosty and the blue tones are indeed dream-like. The bird in the sky just tops it all off.
Well done

Hi Pat. I think there are a few places around our world that wouldn’t see a day without a photo, Niagara for one! But of course there is a reason for that, sheer spectacle and beauty. From what I have seen from yourself and others this is the case here also. Good landscape and documentary photo. Good to see such keen and dedicated photogs at work. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Pat,
Magnificient blue tone landscape. The lake splits the scene nicely to fg and bg. I can sense waiting and excitement on the guys with tripods.
PS. You may want to update the year on the TE meeting theme name.

I think there is too little photographers to call it "Photographer's Dream", nonetheless I do like this picture- there is something mysterious.

Digging into your archive Pat...very nice blue tone of the pre dawn light. The two photographers with all their gears ready to shoot the rising sun..there's excitement in the air & we can almost feel it. Good shot & fits well to your theme.
