Photographer's Note
This was taken in Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia. There was no sign next to these flowers but they do look familiar and if anyone has any ideas what they are I'd love to know. I took this last Sunday which was Mothers Day which meant the gardens was absolutely full of families. This isn't a huge place and I've never seen the parking lot so full. I had a wind to contend with that day as well and I just tried to keep my shutter speed way up. I took almost all of the pictures that day in aperture mode on my D200 which gave me a lot of control over the DOF and shutter speed. This was taken around 2pm on a sunny day.

Sorry, I don't know anything about flowers, except that they're beautiful, so I can't help with the identification. I like the selective focus in this shot, with a great out of focus rendition. Brilliant colour too. Well done Stephen!

Hi Stephen
Nice repetition of the yellow centred white daisies?, with good dof & sharpness. I like the simple, uncluttered green bg. Tfs!

Hi Steve,
I love these simple daisies. Having taken literally hundreds of daisy shots, I know thwe difficult of capturing the three flowers clearly while softening the background. Well Done!!

Good shot of the daisies with a well chosen DOF. It would have been so easy to over-expose the whites but the exposure is very good.

Bonjour Stephen,
simple mais très graphique et surtout rempli de fraicheur.
Les couleurs naturelles ont été respectées.
Un emploi interessant d'une DOF faible qui fait surgir les fleurs de l'écran.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Hi Stephen,
what to say... it's evident that your
last two posts are something completely
different from what we're used to expect
from you.
Even though I like shots of flowers, I
still feel a bit puzzled with your choice
of subjects... huh, maybe I need some time
to get used to that switch...
This one has got a lovely green bokeh and
acts as a cool breeze in a hot spring day.
Can't wait to see what your next upload
brings!
;-D
Have a great day,
Robi
PS. I thought at first that it was a chamomile,
but then, reading what other had to say realised
how wrong I was! LOL

Hi Stephen.
Excellent use of the deep in this close-up. And a nice subject, even I would say gorgeus.
Also I love this composition.
Well done.

Hi Stephen,
Very "simple" and very good shot. Small things like flowers can be very beautiful. Very good colors and great DOF.
Regards,
Stef
