The Cabrillo National Monumnet is the site where the first European (Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo) stepped foot on the western shore of the United States. Please visit this site http://www.nps.gov/cabr/ for more information on this very beautiful location.

Beautiful :) You could easily see through the sedimentary layers. I didn't have enough time to go to the shores. I was told the tide pools are very interesting.
