Photographer's Note
waiting 5:
My last post in the series of waiting. These guys all were facing the same direction and pretty much standing in the same position too. There seems to be quite a bit of story in this that I am intriged with.
I think there is an interesting compostion with the large man in front and the line of people against the wall with the very open space in the middle. I was also interested in the floor pattern that filled the mostly empty space.

Did you get in trouble in the airport? It looks to me you did a good 100 images while waiting for your flight. At least here in NJ/NY you can get in trouble for photographing on the subway/metro.
About the photo, I like the way you have filled the empty space with the pattern. I wish the image was sharper.
Good and inspiring job, my friend.

Hi Brady,
I like this photo a lot. Why? For the open space floor, and the pattern of lines on it. I love such open spaces, Ive utilized them several times in my photos..I actually try to compose photos with mostly open space (be it sky, floors, ground, some simple background) so this shot really appeals to my compositional tastes. I can feel a lot of tension in this photo. Probably because of the repetition of people who have those annoyed looks on their faces and those poses.
If Enique is right about getting in trouble for photographing in the subway then Im never ging back to North america to live. I love the freedom to shoot photos anywhere I want witout being arrested or called on it.

Hi Brady,
I really liked the look of this... until I viewed it full size. It is so close to being "there" but the man to the right of the frame ruins it. Now if he were at the other side, that would be a different matter ;)
Thanks for sharing, Lewis.

Brady,
I like your compositional intent here...how you have taken an apparently random distribution of folks and used the strong lines of the floor tiles to attract our eyes to them to make these 'non-entities' the subject of this frame. The foreground man adds balance to the frame. Very well done. Good b&w too.

Hello Brady,
I find this a very well composed image..!
Pleasant use of negative space accentuating the feeling of... emptiness? Well... waiting mood then!
Great framing, well done!

i liked this from the thumbnail and when i opened it i was a little disappointed with the composition. i really like the idea and especially the lines from the floor. would you mind if i played with it in a workshop?
