Photographer's Note
It's getting old, to always start out like this, but here it is again. This is another shot that was taken for the introduction to photography class that I took. This is the last of three that were all action shots.
I found these ducks in the creek that runs by my house. Mallards are always pretty, even in black and white.

Spactacular! I wonder if it was just "right place right time" situation, or were you waiting for them. Anyway, perfect formation, I like the way that each bird is flying in a different way. The B&W adds some interesting contrast.

Nice. The ducks though seem to be lacking some sort of 'highlight' which sets them apart from the background and I can't help thinking this one would have been better in colour. Good choice of shutter speed though, there is just a little blur in the wings to show motion, but not so much that it obscures any detail.
