Photographer's Note

I decided to post a few more photos from my visit to the World Trade Center site last October. In the center of this photo is One World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower. It’s surrounded by other skyscrapers on the site, and reflected on the faзade of the September 11 Museum.

One WTC has 104 floors, and it reaches a height of 1,776 feet (541.3 meters), making it the tallest building in North America. The feet in height was chosen to be a very specific number; it’s actually the year when the Declaration of Independence was signed. The building opened in 2014, and the observatory opened in 2015.

The museum opened in May 2014, and is 70 feet (21 meters) below ground. Visitors enter at street level and then descend into the museum space. One of the walls is the original retaining wall from one of the fallen towers.

I like reflections, and here you can not only see One WTC reflected in the museum, but you can also see one of the other towers reflected in One WTC. :-)

Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lep refleks na staklu fasade, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i uhvacenim trenutkom.

I've never seen something this high in my life, I've never been to the USA, I've always preferred more sober destinations .. ehhee .. great captures with absolutely perfect perspective and quality. Hello Brenda,
Wow! This is a wonderful reflection of the One World Trade Center.
I don't have a similar picture. But I did visit the museum and also the observatory (very pricey though; a once in a lifetime experience).
You had beautiful weather and obtained a very clear and sharp photo in beautiful colours.

hello Brenda, Stunning view of these towers reflected in a tower. Interesting that the date of the Declaration of Independence is inscribed in the height. Terrific composition.

A lot of amazing architecture and reflections, as well as reflected reflections. The autumn colored trees and neat little clouds make a great contribution to the beauty of the photo. You found a very good angle for the shot and it's also a technically superb photo.

now THIS is what i'm talking about! this is what I used to post all the time. totally my type of photography :) so you know i'm going to appreciate this. what a beauty. strong, bold, striking. and the reflected clouds are awesome too. love all the blues and the intersecting lines. So how do you feel about the upcoming election? I know its months away, but it'll be here quicker than you think? cheers

Glass facades are great subject matter for photographers, especially when they reflect blue sky and other buildings. You can see that One World Trade Center is really high. Excellent colour, composition and sharpness.

My only trip to NYC was few years before this was built and after the original WTC, so it feels strange not having seen the old famous twin towers and neither the new shiny structures.
Very creative composition with plenty of diagonal lines in all directions. Great effect!
The blue sky makes a difference!

I like modern glass architecture, especially when it reflects blue sky. World Trade Center is of course a new icon. and it looks great as a reflection on this smaller building. All those diagonal lines work well.

Superb composition with these great reflections on the facade of that building, without a doubt the figure of The World Trade Center stands out with its impressive structure, the trees in the lower part of the reflections provide a fantastic complement.
Good perspective of the image, very pleasing to the eye.
Colour, sharpness and luminosity are effectively managed.

Hello Brenda, an excellent shot of the WTC.
Each enormous pane of glass has its own picture, a worthy subject for a jigsaw puzzle!
The reflections are beautiful, and there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of distortion. I like the inclusion of the trees in the immediate foreground, a little piece of nature that contrasts with all the straight lines.
