Photographer's Note
Water and ice, extreme temperatures, and underground salt movement are responsible for the sculptured rock scenery of Arches National Park. On clear, blue-sky days it is difficult to imagine such violent forces - or the 100 million years of erosion - that created this land boasting one of the world's greatest densities of natural arches. Over 2,000 cataloged arches range in size from a three-foot opening, the minimum considered an arch, to the longest, Landscape Arch, measuring 306 feet (93 meters) base to base. While several large arches are visible from the road, towering spires, pinnacles, and balanced rocks-perched atop seemingly inadequate bases-vie with the arches as scenic spectacles here.

Hello Fotka
The western U.S is a wonderland for sure. The eyes are treated at every turn. So where are the arches? I hope they are coming soon for all of us to enjoy.

Hello Zbigniew,
The scenery of Utah is so amazing!
It's difficult to imagine how this bluff would have looked before the ravages of nature!
You have captured this very well, excellent clarity and light, in a strongly composed photograph.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Zbigniew,
The shapes of the rock formations are really wonderful and the clear weather helps to show it so well. Nice colour contrast with the blue sky as well.

Hi Zbigniew,
The wideness of the area is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of this area of the Arches National Park. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.
