Photographer's Note
Years ago when I lived in Tennessee. There was almost no public lands. anyway I would see this old wagon far off the road in the field as I would go too and from work daily. Knowing this was private land, I put a letter of interest in mail boxes along the road for about a half mile. Many months later I recieved a call giving me permission to take images of the wagon. I was given a day and one hour to shoot my images of the wagon. Knowing someone along the road was watching me was very uncomfortable. I used the hour and moved on. I never could figure out who owned the property. In Tennessee you tread lightly on another's land. So I call my wagon Patience.

Hello Jimmy, Strange story. I wouldn't think to ask for the permission of taking the picture of the old wagon. Besides, who would observe you taking photos? Have you entered the private area? anyway, you were patient and it resulted with this fine picture.
have a nice weekend

Bonjour, cher Jimmy,
L'on dirait que cette carriole a été abandonnée par des pionniers venus conquérir l'Amérique.
J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance qui se dégage de cette composition;
Amitiés.

Hi Jimmy
A very appropriate title. Great old rusty colours on the wagon. Good low view point.

Hi Jimmy
well done, great looking perspective from down here.
Very interesting back story to this one...all I can say is...ONLY IN AMERICA. You'll often hear people say American's and Canadians are so similar...but its so wrong. American culture is VERY VERY different from Canadian. American's can get very protective of their land, as you experienced here, its not like that in Canada. We have more freedom to explore, without the threat of being shot at if we do trespass. Its just...different. Anyways, you did the smart thing, asking permission, and the end result is excellent. cheers

Hello Jimmy,
Under the blue sky the old red rusty wagon becomes a very good photo subject.
Well taken from a very low point of view.
On most places in Europe you can safely enter a terrain to take a picture, taking into account of course that you cannot cause any damage to crops.
Obviously, I would think twice with the existing gun laws in the USA before doing such a thing.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Jimmy,
As Malgo says, this story is quite strange for Europeans. We would never really think about having to ask for permission to photograph something like this: we would generally just go and do it. Unless, of course, it was on land that was fenced off or very obviously so private that the owner didn't want anyone anywhere near. In Britain you can walk almost anywhere so long as you do not cause any damage to fences, etc \and provided you don't cause injury or upset to any animals.
Anyway, Jimmy, it was well worth the patience and the long wait to get some photos of this rusty old wagon. The light on it is beautiful and "lifts" the red rusty colours perfectly, especially on the side of the wagon, and those colours contrast so well with the clear blue sky.
Lovely light, rich colours, perfect exposure and excellent details and sharpness.
Wonderful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Jimmy, An interesting note to got with this interesting shot. I like the POV you chose to shoot this from. Like others, in Australia I don't imagine asking permission, unless the area was fenced off, and then only if there were buildings nearby. cheers, steve

Hello again,
Interesting story, Jimmy! In other words don't shoot wagons on others land, otherwise you will get a shot! To say something about the photo, its well-composed one taken from a wisely chosen angle.
Best Wishes,
Gy.
