Photographer's Note

LITTLE FIVE POINTS is a district on the east side of Atlanta, which has become famous as a kind of alternative hotspot. With independent shops, bars, restaurants and venues, it is a melting pot of subcultures and the Bohemian center of the Southern States.

This great little neighborhood was where we began and ended our grand tour of the South. With its alternative vibe it felt a bit like home to us.

Kudos to the Porter Bar for the music, the beer selection and that great food (not always easy to find in the Deep South!).

Hello Benny,
This was obviously taken last year, when for the first time I found Sweden too hot (or I was for the first time too old) in July. For the moment we're cooler than most of the European continent, but we don't know what global heating has in store for us.
This photo doesn't tell us much about this part of Atlanta, but I trust your words that it's a nice district. At least you made an amusing observation.

En in Europa klagen we ook al over de extreme hitte en dan is het nog maar Juni. Waar moet dat heen. Vandaag gelukkig wat verkoeling met wind van zee na een dag puffen in de hitte.
