Scimitar, a photo from Arizona, West

Photographer's Note

While flying to Arizona, I could not help but take an image of a scimitar winglet. These additions to the end of the wing give better gas mileage as well as a better glide. I work for this airline and enjoy the benefits of being able to go-see-do.

Hi Jimmy,
That must be Southwest Airlines 737. Colours look so bright angainst cool blue sky. High viewpoint shows those clouds nicely far down below.

Excellent photo of the wing of the aircraft, it is so sharp and clear and the bright colours stand out wonderfully from the deep blue sky. The shapes of the large clouds look great too, they're very well included.

I do not recall ever having seen a plane with these colours.
They look fantastic against that sky in which we find a wonderful gradation of blue from top to bottom.

Hello Jimmijimmy, Fantastic detail of the wing. Wonderful saturated colours against the blue sky (when you fly , the sky is always blue above the clouds). Interesting that you work for the airlines :). Then you can fly a lot.
