I am always fascinated by the colors of nature. This blue and gold Macaw image taken at the Tampa Zoo. A wonderful zoo for animal enthusiast. I know, I know it was taken at the zoo........still this may be the only wild I may ever see of these magnificent birds. Great pose for me I think.

I did use a monopod. many zoos will not let you in with a full tripod.

A wonderful close-up of this macaw.
Excellent sharp capture of its feathers and beak.
Some animals in nature have colours to make them less visible. For others, it is important to strongly stand out.

In the picture we see a wonderful portrait of the blue and gold Macaw. No problem it is from the zoo.
But to see these magnificent birds free is another experience.

these macaws are native from brazil but I guess I saw only the red ones in freedom.
nice this portrait of the big bird.
